#GivingTuesday: The Children We're Fighting For...

Dear Friend,

Because of supporters like you, we've been able to increase access to high-quality education options for low-income and working-class Black families across the nation. Today, more of our children are thriving in schools that are serving their academic needs and bringing hope for families too often left behind.

Meet the Mclendon Family from New Orleans, Louisiana...

For years Leonard and Anita Mclendon struggled financially to make ends meet. However, after attending a BAEO workshop where they learned about educational options in their community, they soon enrolled their five-year-old son into the state's scholarship program.
Today their son attends a "great school where he is safe, loved and can learn."

Leonard said "the biggest area of growth I've noticed in my son is his vocabulary. He speaks very well. His writing and reading skills have greatly improved since he was at this neighborhood school. I love what the school has done with my son."

The future success of families like the Mclendons depends on your continued support.

In the spirit of a season for giving, please consider a donation so we may continue the fight to grant all of our children access to a high-quality education.

On behalf of the families we serve, I would like to thank you for all you've done and will continue to do for our children.
Warm regards,

Jacqueline Cooper
